Title of the Murder Mystery: MURDER OF A MILLIONAIRE : A Will Reading For The Rich and Greedy

You may be an heir to the estate.

Your presence is requested at Lux Events' Masquerade Murder Mystery Party for an evening filled with murder and mystery

in order to commemorate the death of the late millionaire, Rick A. Rochester.

Among Rick's dying wishes, he wanted his will reading to be a party thrown

in his honor to gather together those most important in his life.

From his eccentric ex-wife to his interfering in-laws, his spying servants to the

provocative pool boy, it seems that everyone has a shot at a piece of his estate.

As one of Rick's closest confidants or family members, it is your help that is needed

to piece together the mystifying death of Mr. Rochester

and to avoid being the victim of yet another murder as you attend his will reading.

Use caution in considering your involvement in this gathering,

for as likely as it is that you will walk away with a great deal of inheritance,

you are also just as likely not to walk out at all...

HOW TO PLAY (8 STEPS):

Step One

GUESTS ARRIVE AT PARTY

Each guest receives a detailed character description in their invitation along with some background information on the party.

Step Two

HOST READS AN INTRODUCTION TO THE PARTY

This explains how the night is to proceed.

Step Three

GUESTS RECEIVE A PREPARED ENVELOPE WITH INFORMATION AND OBJECTIVES

Guests start mingling and verbally sleuthing as they enjoy the party.

Step Four

THE MURDER OCCURS!!!

Step Five

INVESTIGATOR READS A SHORT SYNOPSIS OF HOW TO PROCEED

Guests get more info and objectives and continue sleuthing as party continues.

Step Six

INVESTIGATOR PRESENTS EVIDENCE

Guests review evidence before making final accusations.

Step Seven

HOST HANDS OUT ACCUSATION SHEETS

Guests guess the murderer and vote for best dressed, best acting, etc.

Step Eight

MURDERER IS REVEALED!

Investigator reads explanation and host hands out awards.

That's it! No pencils. No scripts. No complicated process. And a "real live murder" at the party! The murder is solved by mingling and sleuthing, allowing everyone to participate fully to the extent that they feel comfortable doing so. This sets the stage for much spontaneity and insures the party is kept lively!
