Let's face it, we're all over COVID-19, but unfortunately it hasn't left us yet. This pandemic has affected the entire world and our way of life as we know it.
While I won't bore you with the details of the things you already know you can not do, how about I tell you what you and your family and friends can do for fun this Christmas?!
So what are you waiting for, get to planning and gather safely for these fun activities.
Tour Christmas Light Displays
Everyone loves an awesome display of Christmas lights to get into the holiday spirit! Plan a date, time, and starting location for everyone to gather in their vehicles to ride around to admire all the light displays. The best way to find out what homes will have a display is to create a post on your local Nextdoor App. It‘s a great way to announce to your neighbors that you and your family and friends want to admire their work. It also connects you to other surrounding neighborhoods for even more displays for what will be a night of fun.
Host A Christmas Karaoke Contest for a Cash Prize via Zoom
Plan a Christmas Karaoke Contest for fun and cash via Zoom. Require participants pay a $5 entry fee. Assign an event host to collect the money (can use Cash App or Venmo), send an invite via email and include a list of Karaoke Christmas Songs (simply go to YouTube and type in "Karaoke Christmas Songs"). Not all invitees will want to sing, but their attendance is just as important for the final vote. The host can also create a Voting Form for free using Google Forms. After all participants have paid their fee, the host will list each participants name on the form for casting votes. When the Karaoke Zoom event begins, the host will lead the contest and share their screen for each karaoke song. Once every participant has sung their song, then share the google form link in the chat for everyone to cast their votes. Once the votes are in, announce the winner and send them their prize money. This event is sure to be a hit!
Play The Heads Up Game
A fun game is sure to bring holiday cheer and plenty of laughs. You may have seen this popular game played on The Ellen Show as well. This is the perfect game to play with family or friends via Zoom. Heads Up is where players have to describe the word on the screen to the person holding the screen to their head. The best part is their are no limits to the number of people that can play!
